Family Mediation   Arbitration   Parenting Coordination

Heather completed training with Riverdale Mediation in Toronto and the Mediation Centre in Barrie to become a Family Mediator, Arbitrator and Parenting Coordinator.

Heather studied Social Development Studies and English Literature at the University of Waterloo and also completed the Graduate Program in Infant Mental Health at York University. She has multiple college diplomas and certificates, and is skilled at Interactional Guidance, and Pathways to Competence Parent Training.  Heather has extensive training and experience in disordered attachment; trauma assessment and treatment; and anxiety and eating disorders.  Her career has focused on working with high-risk children and families, and child development.

Heather has been employed at various social service agencies in our region including The Infant and Child Development Program, Family Support Services, Community Living, Brighter Futures, The Women’s Centre, Keystone, resource centres, The Board of Education, and is a former Foster Parent for teenagers.

Heather has gained exceptional skills in case management, goal setting, parent education, divorce coaching, and alternative dispute resolution.

At the age of 54 (!!) Heather continues to be actively involved in her community promoting ADR, and supporting youth mental health and wellness initiatives.   She enjoys practicing Kundalini yoga, exploring beautiful Lake Simcoe by kayak, singing cringe-worthy karaoke, and spending time with her three adult children.,
